Phuong Nam book cafe's large space may impress customers who first come to it. It has many types of book, from books for entertainment, novels to foreign books. This is an idea place for college students studying at nearby universities. The atmosphere here is very quiet because customers mainly come here to read and study, they avoid making noises as much as possible.
Phuong Nam book cafe also serves drinks and fast food for customers who want to spend a whole day studying. However, food and drink prices here are rather expensive.
I had an iced coffee with condensed milk ('cafe sua' with some accents I can't replicate). The coffee here seems to be really aromatic, based on my experience with it at breakfast then again at the book cafe. The one I had at the cafe was much much stronger, with a smooth sweet start thanks to the condensed milk. Then the coffee flavour really fills your mouth (I'd call it a full, round flavour) and is fairly bitter, at least for me.
Super refreshing having it iced (don't worry, it seems most of the established places use bottled water for their ice), and it was really enjoyable, especially if you like strong, almost smoky coffee.
Also, the last photo is my coffee from breakfast. They combine the grounds and hot water in the grey tin, and the coffee drips through perforations in the bottom into the cup. I don't know much more about the process, unfortunately.
