Caber Coffee opens New Academy
Posted on: 2016-03-10 4:12 PM The creation of the £60,000 coffee academy at Caber Coffee’s Holburn Street headquarters has been hailed as an important step in the 28-year-old company’s evolution. The founding principle of the new facility is to give customers and coffee enthusiasts the chance to gain valuable training in how to make the most of Caber Coffee’s extensive product range and use it to serve and enjoy the perfect cup of coffee.
The launch of the facility follows last year’s £200,000 project to increase warehouse and storage space by 50% and create an on-site, purpose-built, hi-tech coffee machine repair and service facility at the company’s city centre HQ.
Commenting on the launch of the coffee academy, Caber Coffee managing director Findlay Leask said: “Throughout our company’s history, we have been proud to offer to our client base products of the very highest standards so the addition of our coffee academy is a natural extension of that commitment to quality.
“We feel it is very important to share with people our passion for serving the perfect cup of coffee and we are offering a range of courses which will appeal to a broad spectrum of people. These range from individuals looking for a different gift idea for a loved one or basic training for front-of-house catering staff right through to an intensive all-day course that sets out essential information for anyone that is considering opening a coffee outlet.
“In all cases we hope that the outcome will be people going away with lots of tips which they can then implement at home or in their own businesses to drive up standards and, consequently, boost that all-important bottom line.”
Caber Coffee is a leading, independent wholesale company which is renowned for supplying quality ground coffee, beans, teas, vending ingredients and a range of quality, easy to use and reliable coffee machines, espresso makers and hot beverage equipment. The company is a 27-year-old, family-run enterprise which currently employs 12 people.
