For those of you south of the 49th parallel who have grown to love your McCafe coffee you will soon be able to join us Canadians in being able to purchase the bagged coffee in your local grocery store.
McDonald's announced that they will be expanding the sales of bagged coffee into the USA. Canadians have been able to purchase 12 oz. bagged coffee from McDonalds since
late in 2012. The World's biggest hamburger chain says that it will start to test selling a variety of packaged ground and whole bean coffee at supermarkets and other retail stores starting in 2014.
McDonalds is joining other major chains like Tim Hortons Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts to participate in the $5 Billion bagged coffee market. McDonalds is partnering with Kraft Foods Inc. to distribute the coffee and has not yet disclosed the extent of the sales tests or the targeted areas.
